Victim Identified In Tuesday Morning Shooting On 11th Court
No arrests have been announced, but the victim in a fatal shooting has been identified by investigators following the incident Tuesday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators have identified a man killed in a Tuesday morning shooting on 11th Court as 20-year-old Maurice Jones, Jr.
Patch reported earlier today that Tuscaloosa Police officers responded to the 2500 block of 11th Court following an overnight shooting that occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No arrests or suspects have been announced in connection to the fatal shooting.

Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Commander Jack Kennedy said once on scene, officers found one male victim had been shot.

Jones was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, but died from his injuries shortly thereafter.
Kennedy said the investigation is in it preliminary stages and no other information will be released at this time.
