Warming Shelter Open At Coker United Methodist Church Through Monday

The Hope Center at Coker United Methodist Church has been opened as a 24-hour warming station at 14992 Highway 140 in Coker.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Hope Center at Coker United Methodist Church has been opened as a 24-hour warming station at 14992 Highway 140 in Coker.

The warming shelter first opened to the public Thursday and will remain open through noon on Monday, Dec. 26.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department asks that those wishing to seek shelter at The Hope Center to contact the Tuscaloosa or Northport's non-emergency lines at (205) 349-2121 and (205) 339-6600, respectively.

Donations of gloves and blankets are being accepted at Temporary Emergency Services, located at 1705 5th Street in Tuscaloosa.
