TUSCALOOSA, AL — No. 1 overall seed Alabama men's basketball fell to a tough and physical San Diego State squad Friday to end the Crimson Tide's season in the Sweet 16.

The loss provided an unceremonious end to a historic season that saw the SEC regular season and tournament champions win 30 games for the first time in program history, along with securing a No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament for the very first time.

The 71-64 loss to the Aztecs also likely represented the last game in a Crimson Tide uniform for National Freshman of the Year and SEC Player of the Year Brandon Miller.
Miller joined his coach to speak with the media during the postgame press conference, where they were accompanied by Mark Sears and Charles Bediako.
