TUSCALOOSA, AL — Legendary Crimson Tide broadcaster Eli Gold might not have been in the booth at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, but his stand-in Chris Stewart logged a historic call of his own as the final seconds ticked away in Alabama's 24-20 win over Texas A&M.

Stewart has been a Crimson Tide broadcaster for more than two decades, earning the adoration of fans in his own right. He has also been celebrated this year for temporarily filling the seat of Gold as he battles health issues.
