A woman is expected to survive her injuries after a Friday morning shooting at a Tuscaloosa gas station.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirms that a woman was injured early Friday morning in a shooting at a Tuscaloosa gas station.

TPD told Patch that a call was received around 6:15 a.m. at the Chevron gas station at the corner of 15th Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

One female victim was reportedly transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests or suspects have been announced, with the investigation now being handled by the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.

"This incident occurred during an argument, and there is no reason to believe there is any danger to the surrounding area or community," said Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.
