Woodstock Appoints Lee Mears To Open Seat On Town Council

The Woodstock Town Council on Monday appointed long-time Woodstock resident Lee Mears to a seat on the Town Council.

WOODSTOCK, AL — The Woodstock Town Council on Monday appointed long-time Woodstock resident Lee Mears to a seat on the Town Council.

Mears will now fill the seat left vacant by former Woodstock councilman Ty Corbell, who was elected to the Bibb County Commission.

“We’re grateful for Lee’s willingness to serve and look forward to working with him as our town continues to grow," Mayor Jeff Dodson said.

Mears is a graduate of Auburn University, working as a specialist software engineer and trainer in the computerized cabinetry design field. He and his wife Susan have three sons and have lived in Woodstock for more than two decades.

“I look forward to the work ahead and I’m thankful for the trust placed in me by the Town Council and Mayor Dodson,” Mears said. “It’s a great time to be a citizen of Woodstock.”
