• 20-Year-Old Alabaster Man Dies in Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 459 in Vestavia Hills After Collision Near Mile Marker 21 Early Aug. 14 (parktelegraph.com) — A 20-year-old Alabaster man died after his vehicle caught fire in a multi-vehicle crash on I-459 North near mile marker 21 in Vestavia Hills early August 14. State troopers and the Jefferson County Coroner's Office say he was alone in the car and died at the scene, with key details about the number of vehicles and possible causes still under investigation.
