VHEC 5th Graders Donate Books, Cards To Needy Families
Students donated books and made Christmas cards for the children at First Light Women's & Children's Center.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - December is the time for shopping, gifts, holiday songs, parties and parades. But another aspect of the holiday season involves giving to those in need, in the true spirit of the holidays. This notion has been exercised by fifth grade students at Vestavia Hills Elementary Central this week.
Students donated books and made Christmas cards for the children at First Light Women’s & Children’s Center, and made Christmas cards to mail to Drake Quibodeaux, an 8 year old little boy diagnosed with terminal brain tumor in Louisiana. His Christmas wish was to receive Christmas cards from all over the country this year.
