• Bullhead City Police Arrest Man for Aiming Laser at Medical Helicopter and Possessing Dangerous Drugs (thebee.news) — Bullhead City police recently arrested a local man after a medical helicopter crew reported a powerful green laser being repeatedly aimed at their aircraft near Arcadia Boulevard and Escalera Drive. Officers later stopped the suspect’s vehicle on Highway 95, recovered the laser and methamphetamine, and are reminding residents that pointing lasers at aircraft is illegal and extremely dangerous.
   

• Abuse of two-year-old will bring no more than 120 days jail time (thestandardnewspaper.online) — A Bullhead City man has pleaded guilty to child abuse in a case where police say cell phone video showed him repeatedly striking his girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter. Under a plea agreement, a Mohave County judge must place him on probation and may add up to 120 days in jail at sentencing on June 2.
   

• 2 Southern Arizona high school softball teams win state championships (tucson.com) — Bullhead City gets a shout-out in state softball action, as Mohave Accelerated’s 2A runner-up finish capped a strong season despite a 5–3 title-game loss to Willcox. Southern Arizona’s Tanque Verde also claimed its first 3A championship behind standout pitching and a dominant offensive surge.
