• Marana uses a difficult month as fuel to push forward as season progresses, defeats CDO in region opener (allsportstucson.com) — Marana High's football team, after a tough month that included injuries and a student death, has bounced back to even its record at 2-2 with a big region-opening win over Canyon del Oro. Players and coach Phillip Steward describe how they're leaning on each other, cutting penalties, and using recent adversity as motivation heading into this week's road game at Buena. 
• Great Egret — Early Morning (wordpress.com) — The Town of Marana's El Rio nature reserve, created from a former gravel pit, is again teeming with wading birds after recent maintenance work. A local photographer describes early-morning visits, when soft sunrise light makes Great Egrets and other species especially stunning to watch and photograph, offering residents a close-to-home wildlife escape at virtually any hour.
• Administrative Parcel Addresses (pima.gov) — Pima County explains how it assigns special "administrative" parcel addresses for record-keeping and permitting, while noting that Marana and South Tucson handle things differently. These temporary addresses can cover an entire subdivision during construction and sometimes remain part of complex addresses later. They generally aren't used by property owners for everyday purposes.
