• Data centers proposed south of Maricopa (roselawgroupreporter.com) — A massive technology campus with data centers, manufacturing, and energy facilities is being proposed just south of Maricopa, on more than 1,500 acres near Porter and Barnes roads. Pinal County officials have begun work sessions on a land-use change that could shift the area from residential to employment, potentially reshaping jobs, traffic, and growth for Maricopa residents.
   

• Maricopa entertainment center gets a name — MADCAPS (azbigmedia.com) — Maricopa's planned indoor-outdoor entertainment center at Copper Sky Regional Park now has a name, MADCAPS, and early design renderings show a multi-level space for bowling, mini golf, karting, arcade games, dining and events. Developers say it's designed as a year-round destination for Maricopa residents and visitors from across Maricopa and Pinal counties, promising more local options to eat, play and socialize.
   

• Centennial, Mountain View top HS football schedule. Republic's picks (azcentral.com) — Maricopa High's football team is scheduled to travel to Casa Grande for a Thursday night matchup, one of many high school games happening around Arizona this week. The full schedule covers contests across the Valley and state from Sept. 10–12, with predicted winners highlighted so you can track key rivalries and plan which games to attend or follow.
