All Indoor Recreation Facilities Temporarily Closed In Phoenix
Starting Monday, March 16, and until further notice, the Phoenix Parks and Rec Department will temporarily close all indoor rec facilities.

The city of Phoenix is taking additional steps to protect its residents and help to combat the spread of coronavirus in the community.

Effective Monday, March 16, and until further notice, the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department will temporarily close all indoor recreation facilities. City parks and trails remain open for general recreational use. City golf courses also will be open normal hours.
This added measure is being taken based on new recommendations from
health experts, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
and state leaders, which include temporarily suspending gatherings of 50 or more people and the temporary closing of all schools in
Arizona.

On Friday, the Parks and Recreation Department announced that all classes and programs at the city's community and recreation centers had been suspended. Additionally, large gatherings and events on city park property were canceled or postponed. Last week, the city also temporarily closed its senior centers.
