Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. An injured hiker was rescued off of Camelback Mountain yesterday morning. First responders used Phoenix Police's Firebird 10 Helicopter was used to rescue the man after he injured his knee and couldn't make his way back down the trail. The hiker was found at the summit of the mountain. (12news.com KPNX)
  2. A woman was shot while sleeping in her Phoenix apartment overnight on Saturday. The woman was shot in the leg and is stable, but there is currently no suspect. Other bullet shells were found throughout the apartment complex, located near 69th and Clarendon avenues, but there were no other injuries. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  3. Phoenix police killed a suspect in a North Phoenix on Sunday. The suspect apparently pointed the gun at police after they were called over a domestic dispute. The 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
