1) Keeping a pet can be hard — Arizona Humane Society and PetSmart team up for temporary shelter program. The program offers foster care for pet owners during financial hardship or housing insecurities

3) ASU Cronkite School partners with The Diversity Pledge Institute to launch DEI programs in the Valley. "Our collaboration with The Diversity Pledge Institute will help advance Cronkite's goals of becoming a leader in diversity, equity and inclusion while pushing for more representation throughout the journalism and strategic communication industry," said Cronkite School Dean Dr. Battinto L. 4) Valley teen aims to get 2,022 new blood donations by the end of the year. "It has to do with giving back in a way that's tangible. You're sending out a part of yourself into the world which makes it feel more meaningful for me," said 16-year-old Pierce Liestenfeltz.

5) Inflation impacting kids' school lunches, and Phoenix schools scrambling to afford the soaring costs. "Last year, for 152 slices of bread we paid about $3.80, but this year the cost is right at $6.90 for the same amount," said Shannon Gleave, the director of Food and Nutrition at Glendale Elementary School District.
