Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

  1. The Snap Lounge, a dive bar near 15th Avenue and Camelback, is suffering from damage after a fire broke out. The bar's fridge caught fire and spread to the attic and roof. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
  2. Coffee shop Refuge Café is closing on Jun. 30 to make room for an affordable housing apartment complex. Acacia Heights will serve low-income families and will be located at Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road. (KTAR.com)
  3. Police report a Phoenix homeowner shot and killed two intruders breaking in on the morning of Jun. 25. Both of the people who were detained in connection with the story claimed self-defense. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)

  • The City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department is urging residents to keep their homes healthy. Department staff recommend you give your home a six-month checkup by cleaning gutters, testing your GFCI outlets, cleaning the kitchen exhaust fan and filters, and checking the locks on all windows and doors.   • The Arizona Department of Public Safety declared an unlawful assembly of people at the Arizona Capitol and began dispersing flashbangs and tear gas. People were gathered to protest the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. (12news.com KPNX)
