Harvey Weinstein Attacked at Scottsdale Restaurant: Report

TMZ reports that a man who admitted having had "quite a bit to drink," threw two punches. Neither connected.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was attacked as he dined at a Scottsdale restaurant Tuesday night, TMZ reports. A man named Steve approached him and threw two punches, neither of which connected.

TMZ says that Weinstein was in Elements, a restaurant at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort, with his sober coach.

A man named Steve – whom TMZ says they talked with – approached Weinstein about a photo.

Steve told TMZ that Weinstein became belligerent. The news outlet says the restaurant manager says Weinstein had been "very sweet about it."

Weinstein has been staying in the Phoenix area since at least November following reports by numerous women that he had sexually assaulted or harassed them.

TMZ says that as Weinstein and Steve both got up to leave, Steve – who told TMZ that he'd had "quite a bit to drink" – approached Weinstein, cursing him over the sexual assault allegations against him – and threw two punches, nether of which connected.

Weinstein declined an offer to have police called, TMZ says.
