‘In the past 10 years KPB and our partners have diverted more than 2 million pounds of material out of the landfill, including electronics, paper, clothing and batteries and even bicycles,’ said Tom Waldeck, KPB's president and CEO. ‘That's the equivalent of ten modern cruise ships!’

KPB's October I Recycle Phoenix event diverted 35 tons of materials from Phoenix's landfill in only five hours.

I Recycle Phoenix gives the public an opportunity to properly recycle items such as bicycles, electronics, clothing, and other materials not accepted in Phoenix's curbside recycling program.

Phoenix's partnerships focused on sustainability, such as this one, help the city's community outreach, education and waste diversion efforts. Events like I Recycle Phoenix, that provide additional recycling opportunities, are integral to Phoenix achieving a 40% waste diversion by the end of this year.
