Phoenix Offers Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program there are three alternatives for filing taxes for #free.

PHOENIX, AZ — The City of Phoenix wants to help residents save hundreds of dollars in fees to get their 2019 income taxes done.

Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, there are three alternatives for filing taxes for free. For some, volunteers will do the preparations for residents as long they meet the eligibility requirements.

Free services ensure all taxpayer's income, deductions and allowable credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) are claimed and increase taxpayer education while promoting self-sufficiency. Find out how you can use this service on this City Update.
