Rain, Thunderstorms Expected In Phoenix Metro Monday And Tuesday
NWS Phoenix said there is a possibility for rain and strong thunderstorms as a system moves in Monday night and peaks Tuesday.
PHOENIX, AZ — The National Weather Service is monitoring a storm system that's expected to move into the Phoenix area Monday night and peak Tuesday morning.
NWS Phoenix said on Twitter that there is a possibility for rain and strong thunderstorms. Rainfall is expected to be higher north and east of Phoenix, though the metro area could see up to an inch or more. The most likely scenario has Phoenix seeing between 0.24 and 0.39 inches of rain.
Hail up to one inch in diameter and wind gusts of 60 mph are possible with this storm.

In its daily forecast, the weather service predicts a possible chance of showers with thunderstorms after midnight on Monday. On Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are possible before and after noon.
