Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:
- The Scottsdale Police Department identified the body found in the canal near Indian Bend and Hayden Roads Sunday. Robert Youtz, an 82-year-old Payson resident, was reported missing on April 18, his vehicle was found in the canal on April 20, and his body was recovered from the canal on April 23. Youtz's cause of death is still under investigation. (NewsBreak)
- A Scottsdale dentist is facing at least eight felony charges related to accusations of stealing from patients and neighbors. Dr. Daniel Gold, who is still in practice at Scottsdale Dental Center, is accused of fraud schemes, burglary and identification theft. One woman reported that he changed her address to his address, took her mail and burglarized her garage. Nine of his victims were his patients, and Gold reportedly "admitted to [one] burglary and blamed his bipolar disorder and medication change." (Arizona's Family)
