Now in its 9th year giving back to Phoenix's music education community, Sunland Asphalt is hosting the 2026 Sunland Asphalt Golf Tournament benefiting Lead Guitar, a local non-profit whose mission is to improve student grades, graduation rates, resilience and life skills by delivering free in-school guitar programs to kids facing significant socioeconomic challenges or other barriers to experiencing the transformative power of making music.
What began as a small gathering of construction-industry partners has grown into one of the region's most anticipated charity tournaments — a full day of golf, games, and prizes at The Legacy Golf Resort, all in service of a bigger mission. Every dollar raised goes directly toward Lead Guitar's in-school guitar programs, which bring music education to kids across Phoenix and beyond who might not otherwise have access to it. With sponsors and golfers from across the paving and construction world teeing off together, the tournament has become as much a community reunion as a fundraiser — proof that a shared love of the game can translate into real impact for the next generation of young musicians.

Format: 18-hole shotgun-start tournament, 4 golfers per group, 2 groups per hole
Schedule:
- 6:30 AM — Registration opens; Concept Shop, Breakfast & Raffle Prize Area open (Pro Shop/Back Patio)
- 7:45 AM — Welcome and National Anthem (in golf carts)
- 8:00 AM — Shotgun Start
- 12:30 PM — Lunch (White Event Tent)
- 1:00 PM — Raffle prize collection + Legacy winners announced
