Popular Scottsdale Italian Restaurant Appears To Have Closed Without Warning

A Scottsdale Italian restaurant and market shut down without warning, canceling reservations and leaving customers with no explanation.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Diners arriving at Corso Italia in recent days have found the restaurant dark, their reservations canceled and no explanation from the restaurant.

The Italian restaurant and market, which opened in 2024 at 7704 E. Doubletree Ranch Road in the Gainey Ranch neighborhood, appears to have shut down without warning.

Customers who showed up with confirmed reservations over the past week found the restaurant closed, according to social media reports.

It is not clear whether the closure is temporary or permanent.

Corso Italia had carved out a distinctive niche in Scottsdale's dining scene, pairing an upscale Italian restaurant with an in-house market selling many of the same cheeses, pastas and sauces used in the kitchen.

Chef Corrado built a following in the area for his dedication to high-quality imported ingredients and authentic Italian flavors, offering everything from antipasti and housemade pastas to pinsa, specialty cold cuts and prepared meals.

The venue had also become a destination beyond dinner, hosting cooking classes, wine-pairing dinners and private dining events.
