Here are the top stories in Scottsdale today:
- The city is offering a new email subscription that allows residents to receive email notifications when City Council agendas have been posted or amended. Residents can subscribe to the mailing list on the City Clerk page here. The goal of this initiative is to "enhance transparency and foster greater citizen engagement by providing timely and convenient access to important meeting information." The June 27 City Council meeting will be the first one to utilize this new system. (City of Scottsdale)
- Gov. Katie Hobbs signed AZ SB 1432 into law on Monday, officially ending the Rio Verde Foothills water dispute. With strong bipartisan support, the bill goes into effect immediately. The water is expected to start being delivered in a few months. (Arizona's Family)
- Two Scottsdale residents claimed runner-up titles in the 2023 Ms. Senior Arizona pageant. Lori Morgan was awarded the title of 1st Runner-Up, and Lynn Willocks claimed the 4th Runner-Up spot. Congrats to Lori and Lynn! Christina Robinette of Kingman was crowned the winner. (Arizona's Family)
