Organizers are billing this year’s fireworks show as the largest in the city’s history, launching at approximately 9 p.m. against the backdrop of the McDowell Mountains.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on July 4.
The lineup includes the 406 Rodeo with bull riding, bronc riding and mutton busting for kids, a slider-eating contest, a Parade of Heroes and an America 250 reading of the Declaration of Independence. A new South Hall Kids Zone features bounce houses, face painters and kid-friendly vendors.
A few things to know before you go: The event is cashless, so leave the paper money at home. Wind speeds can also affect the fireworks start time.
Ticket options range from $25 general indoor admission to a $50 Backyard BBQ package, with a $40 drive-in viewing option in the Polo Field for those who want to watch from their car.
The city’s message heading into the weekend: “We hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend.”
