1. Driver faces misdemeanor charge over west Tucson collision that killed bicyclist (kgun9.com) — A bicyclist was killed early Sunday in a collision at North Greasewood Road and West Ironwood Hill Drive in west Tucson, and the driver now faces a misdemeanor charge. Police say 71-year-old Thomas Philip Roussey died at the scene despite wearing a helmet, and note this is already the fifth bicycle-related death in Tucson this year.
   

2. Outdoor Lighting Code Committee (County / City) (pima.gov) — Tucson and Pima County residents are represented on a joint Outdoor Lighting Code Committee that meets at the Public Works Building on North Stone Avenue to review and recommend changes to local lighting rules. With members ranging from astronomers to contractors and business leaders, this group helps balance dark-sky protection with development needs, meeting at least annually and more often during code updates.
   

3. Arizona Lottery Powerball, The Pick results for Sept. 19, 2026 (azcentral.com) — If you bought Arizona Lottery tickets in Tucson, you can now check the Sept. 19 Powerball and The Pick winning numbers and claim any prize at the Grant Road lottery office, which handles payouts of any size. 4. For a border tribe, Trump's wall is a betrayal: 'They want to erase us' (bostonglobe.com) — Plans for a 62-mile border wall segment on Tohono O'odham land southwest of Tucson have tribal leaders warning it will damage sacred sites, wildlife, and their sovereignty. The nation, long a federal partner on border security, has sued to stop construction, arguing the project overreaches federal authority and threatens fragile desert areas that matter to many Southern Arizona residents.
   

5. ICE water isn't clean, woman held at Southern Arizona detention center says (tucsonsentinel.com) — A woman detained at Eloy Detention Center, northwest of Tucson, says tap water is dirty, ice is scarce, and heat is intense, raising concerns about detainee health. Local Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva calls the reported conditions a moral failure and urges federal officials to ensure safe water, adequate medical care, and humane treatment in Arizona immigration facilities.
