Tucson and Pima County begin disbursing first of millions of mobile home program funds from federal grant (azluminaria.org) — Tucson and Pima County have begun spending an $11.5 million federal PRICE grant to repair mobile homes and provide eviction legal aid in areas like Flowing Wells, Benson Highway, and Thrive in the 05. Officials say the money will preserve more than 150 homes, protect hundreds of households from eviction, and improve safety in extreme heat.
   

2. Tucson nonprofits receive $600,000 in city grants for workforce and economic growth (kgun9.com) — Tucson has awarded $600,000 in Economic and Workforce Development grants to 31 local nonprofits, backing job training, small-business growth, and cultural events. Groups like Intermountain Academy and JobPath are using the funds for hands-on training, uniforms, emergency financial help, and other support that keeps Tucson residents working and learning.
   

3. Steven Lee McClain Killed in Tucson Bicycle Collision on Grant Road and Arcadia Avenue (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A 76-year-old bicyclist, Steven Lee McClain, was struck and killed Tuesday morning while crossing Grant Road at Arcadia Avenue in Tucson, drawing a response from city police and firefighters. The crash, which happened around 7:30 a.m., remains under investigation as authorities work to determine what caused the collision and whether impairment played any role.
   

4. Green Spa Network Heads To The Arizona desert (spasofamerica.com) — Spa and wellness professionals will be gathering at Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson from September 13–16 for the 2026 GSN Sustainability Summit, bringing national industry leaders into the local community. The event will mix education on regenerative design and hospitality with desert-based wellness experiences, stargazing, and horse-led programs, highlighting Tucson's Sonoran Desert setting as a backdrop for sustainability conversations.
   

5. Savannah Guthrie opens up about mom, Nancy, ahead of Ireland trip (kfor.com) — An ongoing investigation into the suspected abduction of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie from her Tucson home remains active, as her daughter, TV host Savannah Guthrie, publicly honors her on national television. Authorities believe Nancy was taken from her residence in early February and say she may have been specifically targeted, while her family insists they will never stop seeking answers.
