• Centerton City Council reviews wastewater system options (4029tv.com) — Centerton city leaders are weighing four major options to fix the town's strained wastewater system, which currently relies on an overwhelmed plant in Decatur. Engineers outlined choices ranging from a new local treatment center to regional partnerships, but the council delayed any decision, leaving future capacity for growth and development still up in the air for residents and businesses.
• Benton County restaurant inspections: Dried syrup residue hanging down from frozen coffee spouts; excessive waste and unused equipment near back door (nwaonline.com) — Several Centerton spots, including Crave Cookies, Tasty Waves Co., Little Martians Learning Center, Taqueria 3 Brothers #2, and the Taco Bell on Centerton Blvd., were checked in recent Benton County health inspections. Some received minor violations like missing soap, paper towels, or equipment issues, while others such as Sweet Haus and Taco Bell recorded clean reports, giving residents a clearer picture of local food safety.
• Camden latest Arkansas city to cancel Flock contract (4029tv.com) — Centerton is among several Arkansas cities that have recently stopped using Flock Safety surveillance cameras, part of a broader statewide reevaluation of the technology. Camden is the latest to cancel its contract, while lawmakers and police agencies debate how these license plate readers should be regulated and limited across Arkansas.
