Meet Lezle, Jonesboro's new AI non-emergency call dispatcher (katv.com) — If you call Jonesboro Police Department's non-emergency line in the next two days, you may be answered by "Lezle," a new AI call-taker named after a longtime dispatcher. The system will triage non-emergency calls, gather information, and route them to officers or other city and county departments, while human dispatchers monitor every call and can step in at any time. 
2. Former Suspect in 2019 Fatal House Fire Faces New Charges in Jonesboro Stalking Investigation (jonesbororightnow.com) — Jonesboro authorities have charged a 42-year-old man with second-degree stalking and harassing communications after a fire at his ex-girlfriend's Jonesboro home, setting his bond at $1 million and ordering GPS monitoring and no contact. Officials cited his lengthy criminal history and out-of-county warrants as reasons for the high bond, with his next court date set for late October.
3. GoJo increased fares, implemented fare caps (kait8.com) — Jonesboro's GoJo bus system just raised standard fares from $1.25 to $2 and discounted fares from 60 cents to $1, while rolling out a new fare-capping system to limit what frequent riders pay each day. Riders can now use reloadable smart cards or the Umo app for touch-to-pay, though cash will still be accepted on all buses.

5.
