Police say the incident happened on 31st Avenue, with shell casings recovered near a South Cypress Street home and a stolen handgun seized. He's barred from contacting the victim and due back in court October 30.
   

3. Dr. Shahidul Islam's team is studying their health properties and turning the leaves into powders, teas, and baked goods, showing how a familiar crop could support more sustainable, efficient food production for the region.
   

4. Google will pay $716M for data center power (axios.com) — A massive new Cypress Solar project planned in Jefferson County near Pine Bluff will be partly funded by $716 million from Google to Entergy Arkansas, covering construction and transmission upgrades. Power from the project will support Google's future West Memphis data center but also ties into the broader grid, as regulators weigh how these investments could affect rates for Entergy customers statewide, including Pine Bluff.
