CA Taco Bell Employee Fatally Shot At Drive-Thru Window

An employee working in the drive-thru window was shot after an apparent argument over a counterfeit bill, police said.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA — An employee at a Taco Bell in Southern California was shot to death on Saturday through a drive-thru window by a gunman who attempted to pay for his meal with a counterfeit bill, authorities said.

The shooting was reported just before 11 p.m. at a Taco bell on the 9900 block of Avalon Boulevard, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

The victim, an approximately 41-year-old man, was shot multiple times in the torso with a semiautomatic handgun after an argument, ABC7 reported.

He pronounced dead at the scene, Eisenman said.

Two suspects, men between 20 and 25 years old, were being sought by police, ABC7 reported.
