
Before the Agoura High School sports recap, we've got sporting news for the Agoura American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) team.
For the second time in two weeks, Agoura's BU12 AYSO "extra" travel team, FC Elite, have won a tournament championship. This time, the team did it in its home neighborhood, besting Tulare's team in the top-flight finals 4–2 to win the Thousand Oaks Pot o' Gold Soccer Tournament on March 13.
AYSO Extra is a competitive soccer program designed to provide a more challenging level for players who possess the appropriate interest, skills and abilities.

- In the opening league match against Royal High School last Thursday, the Chargers started strong, beating Royal 17–1. In a non-league matching on Friday, the team had another strong win against Saugus High School, winning 15–3. Their overall record is non 3–1. They faced Moorpark High School yesterday and will have a match against Calabasas on Thursday.
- The Varsity played at West Ranch this past weekend in the Easton Tournament. They lost 1–0, as West Ranch scored their only run on a wild pitch in the third. The JV play at Moorpark High School today at 3 p.m. The Varsity and Frosh/Soph team both have home games starting at 3:30 p.m. today against Moorpark.
- The team has a lot of matches this week. They started Monday in the Oak Park Tournament and faced Royal High School on Tuesday. They are set to play Westlake High School on Thursday at Los Robles.
- The entire program has a non-league meet at home this Friday starting at 3 p.m. Their opponent is Hart High School. Last week the entire program beat El Camino Real High School. The scores were as follows: Varsity Girls 75–45, Varsity Boys 85–50, Junior Varsity Girls 96.6–33.4, and Junior Varsity Boys 113–22. Jonathan Cabral ran a nationally ranked time of 13.64 in the 110-meter Varsity hurdles. This will be Cabral's last meet as an Agoura Charger.
- The Lady Chargers played at Newbury Park High School yesterday. They face Oak Park High School today at 6:30 p.m. Last week they continued a strong start to the season, beating Westbridge 13–7. Jackie Hollander had 10 saves and Talia Fiance had four goals. Beth Maiman and Melissa Sheret had three goals each, which two goals by Emilie East and one by Jackie Adelsberg.
- The team started off their season strong with big wins against Oaks Christian and Calabasas High School last week. They took on Newbury Park yesterday and will face Westlake High School on Thursday. The Junior Varsity game starts at 6:00 p.m. and Varsity starts at 7:30 p.m.
- The Frosh/Soph game against Newbury Park High School starts today at 3:30 p.m. The Junior Varsity game is at 4:30pm and the Varsity is at 6:00 p.m.
- The boy's and girl's have a meet today against Royal High School starting at 3:00 p.m.
