Tour guides also must be at least 18 years old.
Park officials said the job is an ideal role for aspiring actors/actresses or anyone looking to work in the entertainment industry. Tour guides can take advantage of free acting lessons, private events with industry executives, free screenings of Universal films and access to auditions with casting directors.
Information about the casting call is available online at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com/auditions.
The theme park will be introducing a “Nighttime Studio Tour” this summer, highlighting movie set lighting and special effects used in nighttime film production. The evening tours will run on weekend nights from July 4 through Labor Day.
The tram tour will also get a new attraction on June 25, when “Fast & Furious -- Supercharged” debuts. The 360-degree, 3-D attraction will put tour riders in a virtual street-racing world, sending the trams on a perceived 120- mph adventure featuring film stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Luke Evans.
