Smooth Sailing for Agoura Tennis
Agoura defeats Royal 16-2 in an outstanding performance in match play.
BOYS TENNIS
- The blustery winds didn't distract Agoura from accomplishing what they planned to do. They quickly pulled away, recording nine straight wins in singles play. The Chargers were led with strong play by Jordan Riessen, Justin Noddle and Eric Fridstein. Each player dominated each of their two sets they played. Gabe Gelbard and Matt Grossman also contributed wins in singles play. The Chargers also went on to win doubles matches 7-2. Their performance tonight places them tied for fourth with a Simi Valley loss. Agoura is currently 4-5 in league play with five games remaining until playoffs. They will play the Warriors at Westlake on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
SWIMMING
- The Boys and Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity swim teams went head to head against Moorpark High School on Wednesday. Their league swim meets resume next week.
GIRLS LACROSSE

- The Girls Lacrosse team hosts the Thousand Oaks Lancers on Friday at 6:30 p.m. They reconvene league play at the beginning of next week.
BOYS LACROSSE
- The Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Lacrosse teams traveled to Westlake High School on Wednesday to battle the Warriors. They both challenge the Lancers of Thousand Oaks at home on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
BOYS GOLF

- The Varsity Golf team lost a hard-fought battle against the Oaks Christian Lions 416/426 at Camarillo Springs golf course on Wednesday. They traveled to Simi Hills golf course on Thursday to challenge the Highlanders of Royal. They begin tournament play next week on Tuesday and Thursday at Los Robles and Tierra Rejada. The Junior Varsity team doesn't play again until Tuesday against the Westlake Warriors.
BASEBALL
- Agoura traveled to Westlake on Wednesday to battle the Warriors and try to keep their streak alive. They next play the Lancers of Thousand Oaks on Friday at 4 p.m.
SOFTBALL
- The Girls Junior Varsity and Varsity Softball teams tested their skills Tuesday against the first-place Simi Valley Pioneers. Varsity fought hard and lost a nail-biter 5-3. Varsity battled Thursday at home against the Highlanders of Royal and lost 14-1. They enter tournament play this weekend and look to start off next week strong.
TRACK AND FIELD
- The Boys and Girls Track team competed in a meet against the Highlanders of Royal and the Moorpark Musketeers on Wednesday. They will attend the Arcadia Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
- The Frosh/Soph, Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball teams challenged the Warriors at Westlake on Wednesday. They will host their next game against the Thousand Oaks Lancers on Friday.
