The Chargers are Hot

Summer-like temperatures won't slow down the Chargers.

The boys are hanging on in baseball, while the other teams take on new challenges.

Baseball:

  • The boys lost to Newbury Park on Wednesday. The final score was 15-7. According to team manager Alex Bhattacharya, Newbury Park scored five runs in the first inning, and scored two more in the second on a 2 RBI single. Agoura struck back with 5 runs in the top of the 4th, highlighted by a grand slam from junior Mark Seyler. But Newbury followed Agoura's 5 run inning with a 7 run inning in the bottom frame. While Agoura scored a run in the 5th and a run in the 6th, it was too much to overcome, losing 15-7. Agoura is now 3-6 overall and 1-3 in league. The Varsity and Freshman teams play Royal High School at home at 3:30 p.m. The Junior Varsity play away at 3:30pm.
