The Comeback Kids
The Agoura Chargers post two comeback wins in the Ventura/Los Alamitos Baseball Tournament.

BASEBALL
- The Agoura Chargers Varsity baseball team began non-conference play Monday in the Ventura/Los Alamitos Tournament. Agoura was coming off of a two-game losing streak and was looking to rebound with a win. They were first matched up against a tough Notre Dame Knights team. The Chargers started slow and found themselves at a 7-0 deficit with one inning remaining. They pulled together and miraculously posted eight runs in the bottom of the seventh, edging the Knights 8-7. Junior infielder, Mark Seyler, hit the game-winning two-out single that brought in two runs. Stellar performances by Tyler Cohen, who went 2-3 and scored two runs off of errors; and Justin Cana, who went 1-3 with two RBI's, helped the Chargers capture a much needed win.
- The Agoura Chargers battled the Ventura Cougars in its second tournament game on Tuesday. Agoura broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth inning when freshman, Albee Weiss, blasted a two-run homerun. Agoura never relinquished the lead, posting a 9-7 victory over the Ventura Cougars in non-conference play. The Chargers were lead by Albee Weiss and Justin Cana who combined for five hits, including two doubles, two RBI's and a home-run. The Agoura Chargers now have an overall record of 9-13 and 3-7 in league. Agoura's next game is Wednesday, May 4, against the Thousand Oaks Lancers at 3:30 p.m.
GIRLS LACROSSE
- The Agoura Girls Varsity lacrosse team hosted the Eagles of Oak Park Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The Agoura Chargers look to post another win against its crosstown rivals and bring its overall record to 13-4. Agoura's next game is slated for Friday when it challenges the Newbury Park Panthers at home at 5 p.m.
BOYS GOLF

- The Agoura Chargers Varsity golf team is scheduled to battle the Westlake Warriors at Soule Park golf course on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
BOYS TENNIS
- Agoura's Varsity tennis team had a tough outing Tuesday against the Panthers of Newbury Park. Newbury Park won 13 of the 18 overall matches. Charger Chris Popovich won both of his singles matches (6-3, 6-1) against the Newbury Park Panther's second and third ranked players. Also, doubles pair Justin Noddle and Jacob Braunstein won their two sets (7-5, 6-1) against Newbury Park's first and third ranked doubles pairings. The Chargers have a current overall record of 6-9 and league record of 4-8. They look to post their next win when they host the Coyotes of Calabasas on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
SOFTBALL

- The Agoura Varsity softball team challenged the Newbury Park Panthers in an important league game. From the very first pitch, the Chargers dominated the game. The entire team contributed posting a total of 15 runs and holding its opponents to four. The Chargers were lead by junior, Kelcie Brodsky, who went 3-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Stephanie Lord pitched a solid four and one-third innings and went 2-4 with a triple and two RBI's. Other stellar performances by Jamie DePippo and Natalie Fersht, who combined for four hits including a double, six RBI's and three runs scored, helped the Agoura Chargers runaway with the victory. Agoura now has an overall record of 12-11 and 6-4 in league. They host the Calabasas Coyotes on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
