124 Tickets Issued To HOV Lane Cheats

BAY AREA — Did you notice all of the California Highway Patrol officers writing tickets during the Thursday morning commute?

You can thank fed-up drivers for the crackdown. According to CHP Oakland, "Recently Bay Area residents told us through our online survey that carpool violations are a huge concern. We listened, and today, during this morning’s commute, 124 motorists were ticketed for carpool violations.‬"

If you use the HOV lane, you may have fewer cheats in traffic for awhile.
