On Sunday morning at the major field, the 12U Red offense caught fire in their first scrimmage of the season, plating 18 runs against the visiting Monarchs.
Every player in the lineup had at least one hit, with the big blows being a ground rule double by Joe Gibbons and a pair of safeties to the track by Dallas Rider. Aggressive baserunning, mixed with four successful bunts for base hits, kept the line moving until the big hits arrived.
Gibbons, Tristan Good, Joe Depinna, Ben Seelenbacher, Ari Chertock, and KW Quilici pitched an inning apiece in holding the Monarchs to a total of three earned runs.
The two teams square off again this Sunday at 10am at the major field.
