3 Sexual Assault Attempts Reported At Popular Alameda Beach

Two of the attacks happened in the last few days, while the first was on Aug. 6.

ALAMEDA, CA — Authorities are investigating reports of three attempted sexual assaults over the past month at a popular Alameda beach, East Bay Regional Park District police said today.

The latest attack was reported on Tuesday at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach in the western area of the park. Two previous incidents occurred in the same area on Saturday and on Aug. 6, according to police.

All three of the attacks targeted women who were alone, and happened before noon, according to police.
