4 Home Care Must Haves -- Post Brazilian

Anytime I do a waxing service for a client, I always send them home with an "At Home Care" handout. This is full of my own recommendations for what to do and what not to do after getting waxed -- especially after a Brazilian. A lot of clients find this helpful, however there's always those few questions that I didn't cover on the handout.

One question that ALWAYS tends to come up is: What do I need to do my home care after a Brazilian?

There are FOUR things that I recommend for you to make your own Home Care Brazilian Kit.

1. A natural loofah sponge.
A biodegradable alternative to sea sponges, cellulose sponges and artificial fibers, the loofah sponge is the seed pod of the gourd-like fruit of the loofah flowering vine. Loofah is actually a vegetable from the cucumber family. It can be harvested before maturity and eaten or allowed to mature and harvested for use as a sponge. It is used throughout the world as a natural kitchen sponge and a natural exfoliating bath sponge.

Loofah sponges lather well with soap and are long lasting when properly cared for. The exfoliating action of a loofah leaves skin clean and soft. They are gentle enough when wet and lathered to use on the entire body.

2. Derma E Tea Tree & E Face and Body Wash ($15.00 at Glow Skin Therapy)
This natural antibacterial cleanser thoroughly deep cleans the entire face and body leaving skin feeling clean, soft, deodorized and healthy. A unique combination of ingredients provides natural antiseptic action to combat a wide range of problem skin conditions such as blemishes, rashes, irritation, flaking and itching. Tea Tree Oil with its natural antibacterial, antifungal and solvent properties deep cleans, removing toxins and debris.

Research shows Tea Tree is effective at clearing blemishes and resolving fungal issues. Antioxidant Vitamin E and herbal extracts revitalize and moisturize skin. Consistent use helps prevent future problem skin conditions. Perfect as a hand wash in the kitchen, at work or as a shower gel. After the gym, playing sports or any outdoor activity, this antibacterial cleanser helps prevent body odor, and fungal and bacterial skin issues.

Derma E purchases all of the Vitamin E from an award-winning manufacturer in Switzerland that is known for its quality control and is listed amongst the top leaders of sustainable companies in the world. 100% vegan, cruelty-free, parabens-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free.

3. Derma E Tea Tree & E Antiseptic Crème ($15.00 at Glow Skin Therapy)
This soothing, deep-moisturizing crème blends Tea Tree (5%) with Vitamin E (3,000IU) and other synergistic herbs, vitamins and natural oils to comfort skin from a wide variety of conditions such as cuts, scrapes, blemishes, fungal issues, ringworm, blisters, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, skin overexposed to the sun, dryness and dermatitis.

Used twice daily, a dime size of this crème is placed in the areas that were waxed (like the Brazilian area). This crème assists in keeping the area clean and the hair follicles open. When the follicles are open, the hairs will be directed to grow through the opening rather than under the skin. This product helps reduce the amount of ingrown hairs, bumps, and reduces redness.

and, lastly...

4. Aloe Vera Gel
There is nothing like the feel of cool Aloe Vera Gel to soothe hot and irritated skin. I like to keep mine in the refrigerator. It’s fabulous for freshly waxed skin and is even great to treat sunburns. When purchasing Aloe Vera Gel, choose one that is free of added dyes or fragrances.

So, how that you know HOW to care for your Brazilian after you get it done, how about scheduling your appointment with me?
