Alameda Carjacking: 3 Arrested, Car Recovered
The car was stopped in Solano County after it was reported stolen.
ALAMEDA, CA — A man was carjacked at gunpoint in Alameda in the predawn darkness Saturday. He was not hurt, and his stolen car has been recovered, but police are hoping surveillance video will pinpoint who was at the wheel when the car was stolen.
If you have a camera pointed toward traffic in the street in front of your home or business, the Alameda Police would like you to check video for the fleeing car.
The carjacking happened at 3:50 a.m. in area of West Midway Avenue and Orion Street. Check your video for a 2007 silver Honda Civic with paint chips on its hood. If you have the car on video, contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 510-337-8538. Even if you can't see anything in the video, police may be able to enhance it for detail.

The victim told police that he pulled over to use his phone and was approached by two men who ordered him out of the vehicle. The man initially refused, but complied when one of the pair pulled out a gun.
According to police, the car, with three people inside, was located Monday night by the Solano County Sheriff's Office, who also recovered a gun.
