Alameda Community Invited to Free Showing of 'Facing Fear'

The showing is scheduled for January 20, 2015, 7 p.m. at the Alameda Theatre.

AUSD, the City of Alameda’s Social Service Human Relations Board, and the Alameda Collaborative for Children, Youth, and their Families (ACCYF) are proud to co-sponsor a free showing of “Facing Fear,” a compelling documentary about the nature of bullying, the possibility of personal transformation, and the power of forgiveness.

The documentary traces the story of two men involved in a horrific hate crime in the 1980s and how they eventually met and reconciled. Both the director and two subjects of the film will be present for a Q&A session after the screening.

Suitable for upper middle and high school students (as well as adults).
