Alameda Election: Early Voting Starts Monday

Here's how to request a vote-by-mail ballot.

ALAMEDA, CA — Early Voting for the April 9 City of Alameda Special Election will be available will begin this coming Monday, May 11. The location is the Alameda County Registrar of Voters’ Office, 1225 Fallon Street, Room G1, Oakland. You may vote Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Voting in Alameda will begin on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hours on Monday, April 8 are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Election Day, April 9, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.The address is 2220 South Shore Center.

The Vote-By-Mail period for this election runs from Monday, March 11, through Tuesday,
April 2. If you have not already requested a ballot, complete the application on the back of your Voter Information Pamphlet. You may also apply online or call the Registrar of Voters at (510) 272-6973 to request for a ballot to be mailed to you. All Vote-By-Mail ballot requests must be received no later than Tuesday, April 2.

Only the registered voter may apply for a Vote-By-Mail ballot. An application for a Vote-By-Mail ballot that is made by any person other than the registered voter is a criminal offense.
