Alameda Fire Crews Knock Down Fire Believed to Have Started in Electrical Outlet
Fire officials say the residents were able to stay in their home after the fire was extinguished.

Firefighters in Alameda responded to a fire reported in a residence on the 2900 block of Sea View Parkway and Bay Farm Island Wednesday evening, according to a Nixle Alert released by fire officials.
Alameda Fire released the following details about the fire:
“Firefighters arrived at 4:57 p.m, finding fire coming from an electrical outlet inside of a two-story house. Crews opened up the wall with hand and power tools, finding fire inside. Firefighters had the fire fully extinguished at 5:06 p.m.

“Fire damage was confined to the first-floor wall and adjacent electrical outlet. There were 18 firefighters that responded. No injuries were reported. Occupants were able to remain at the residence.
“Initial investigation indicates the cause to be electrical in nature. Alameda Municipal Power and PG&E also responded.”
