Alameda Fire Sends Crews to Help Battle Lake County Fire
Four firefighters based out of Lake County suffered burns in the fire, a Cal Fire spokesman said.

A fire that started in Lake County this afternoon and spread to 10,000 acres in hours is affecting residents of Napa County, fire officials said. The officials have issued mandatory evacuations for residents near the intersection of state Highway 29 and Tubbs Lane in Calistoga, according to information released by Cal Fire at 7:35 p.m.
Also, an evacuation center is being set up at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga, Lake County emergency officials said. Also, this afternoon, the Alameda Fire Department sent an engine company to help extinguish the blaze. Four firefighters based out of Lake County suffered burns in the fire, Cal Fire spokesman Daniel Berlant said.
They are being treated at the University of California at Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, he said. Berlant could not say yet if any of the four are from the Bay Area.
