Alameda Firefighters Douse House Fire

ALAMEDA, CA - No one was injured in a one-alarm fire in Alameda Monday night, Alameda fire officials said Tuesday.

Fire crews responded shortly before 10 p.m. to a report of a fire in the 400 block of Greenbrier Road, according to fire officials. Arriving crews saw smoke coming from the single-story home and quickly doused the flames, which were contained to one room in the house, Alameda fire Capt. James Colburn said.

Colburn said an initial investigation indicated the fire was electrical in nature.

All of the occupants were able to make it out of the home without injury, he said.

They were displaced Monday night, and Colburn said it's unclear when they will be able to return.
