Alameda Gas Leak Capped, Evacuations Lifted

ALAMEDA, CA — Evacuations in Alameda have been lifted following a brief natural gas leak, according to the Alameda Police Department.

The evacuations were in the 700 block of Eagle and Buena Vista Avenue, between Webster Street and Constitution Way. Those streets were also closed to traffic.

No injuries have been reported.

The whole incident took less than an hour from when the police department reported the leak at 11:15 a.m.
