Alameda House Fire Displaces Residents

Damage was limited to the roof, a portion of the attic, and a wooden structure surrounding the chimney.

Alameda firefighters extinguished a fire in home on Bay Farm Island Thursday evening. Firefighters were called to a single-family residence in the 2800 block of Sea View Parkway at 8:42 p.m.

Personnel on scene found smoke and fire coming from the second floor and the area around a chimney. They were able to access the roof and extinguish the fire with no injuries, according to firefighters.

Damage was limited to the roof, a portion of the attic, and a wooden structure surrounding the chimney. The residents of the home were displaced, but they declined assistance from the Red Cross.
