Alameda Police Educating Drivers About Danger Of Vehicle Burglaries

Officers are leaving flyers on vehicles that appear vulnerable to break-ins.

ALAMEDA, CA — The Alameda Police Department has undertaken a project of public education aimed at thwarting crime.

Patrol officers are leaving flyers on vehicles offering tips to avoid vehicle burglaries.

"APD's Crime Prevention Technician and Community Resource Unit Officers are monitoring parked vehicles and issuing safety tips to help protect your property," police said in a Facebook post. "Through our travels, we have seen several vehicles that may be susceptible to burglary."
