Alameda Police Report 3 Weekend DUI Crashes
One of the crashes involved a hit-and-run with a pedestrian.
ALAMEDA, CA — The Alameda Police Department reports that 3 weekend crashes are the result of driving under the influence. One person, a pedestrian, was injured. All three drivers, who are women between the ages of 20 and 28, were arrested.
The first crash, involving only one vehicle, happened Saturday night around 10:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue. A 28-year-old driver was arrested.
The second crash was around 4 hours later, in the 500 block of Willie Stargell Avenue. Officers found an overturned vehicle and arrested the driver, who is 20.

The final crash was Sunday night at 9 p.m. in the 500 block of Pacific Avenue. The hit-and-run involved a pedestrian, who was injured. Officers searched the area and stopped the suspect vehicle. The 25-year-old driver was arrested on felony DUI causing bodily harm.
Police say that if you see a vehicle driving erratically, call 911 right away.
