Alameda Police Seize Gun, Arrest Felon

This is the fourth illegal gun Officer Robby Stofle has taken off Alameda streets this year, police report.

ALAMEDA, CA — One person was arrested and a loaded, unregistered gun was seized by Alameda Police Officer Robby Stofle.

According to police, it all started with a speeding vehicle.

"Stofle observed a vehicle speeding in the 700 block of Eagle Avenue and Constitution Way," police report. "As the vehicle approached a nearby senior living community, Officer Stofle conducted a traffic stop. The traffic investigation determined that the driver had a suspended license and was carrying a concealed, unregistered, and loaded firearm."

The person, whose name was not released by police, was "taken into custody for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of a loaded and concealed firearm, and driving without a license."

Police report that this was the fourth illegal firearm Stofle has seized this year.
